Exhibition The voice of the line comes from the soul, by Marija Matić, will be opened on Tuesday, March 5 at 7 pm at the Karas Gallery (Zvonimirova 58).

” Everyone who has come here today, who found themselves before these impressive works of art by accident or on purpose, will be wondering the same thing: Who is she? Who is Marija?  Immediately followed by: What brought me here? I would like you to answer these questions to yourself. (…)

You will notice a large amount of works. You will recognize many emotions. Where does Marija find all these emotions? I will tell you where. Marija pulls these feelings from inside her several times a day. She does not wait. Anyone who has ever had the chance to work on himself or herself knows that it is not an easy feat. ”

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Marija Matić was born in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1994. In 2014 she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. She received a commendation from the University of Zagreb for her academic achievements in the 2014-2015 academic year. Marija has participated in several group and solo exhibitions, including the 34^th Youth Salon and 14^th Erste Fragments. She lives and works in Zagreb, Croatia.
