For the sixth year in a row, artOmat will be held in the Mestrovic Pavilion – home of the Croatian Artists, from 16 to 23 December 2015. This year, once popularly known as ” the cake ”, will become a delicious destination that will once again bring together nearly 100 selected exhibitors. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists who work within different areas of visual and applied art, fashion and product design, and other forms of creative industries whose works are created in limited series, and result in genuine must-have products and gifts.

With a distinctive selection of exhibitors and diverse artistic program, artOmat invites its visitors to participate in collaborative art events and creative workshops, that are all free, designed both for children and the adults. Accordingly, at the very opening of 6.artOmat, guys from This Town Needs Posters will demonstrate a handmade poster making and visitors will be able to participate in making of a large poster. Also, the program of Ljubljana collective Oloop, in its project Linking – the carpet in the process, invites visitors to participate. Artist Irena Frantal will transform Gallery Bačva into a book space that invites visitors for interaction. At the very end, the last day of artOmat, called artOnight, the event called “Do it yourself” will present the bond between the movement and the software with the “Whatever Dance Toolbox” program. The program will be led by Zrinka Užbinec and Ana Kreitmeyer, members of the collective BADco.

At the HDLU Club visitors will have a unique opportunity to make a Christmas gift themselves and through 10 different workshops learn new creative techniques such as felting, puppet making and photograms. For the entire duration of artOmat, visitors will be able to taste excellent Snowdrop Beer, unique homemade schnapps, mulled wine and super healthy Juice & Juice smoothies. All this and more, makes this years artOmat a must attend event!
