Skupna izložba Wasser Schöpfen / ZAGRABITI, je kulminacija rezidencijalnog programa One-sided Story, www.onesidedstory.com. Ideja organizatora je da svi umjetnici koji sudjeluju na projektu promišljaju temu One-sided Story čime će kroz vizualnu tradiciju svoje zemlje prikazati individualnu interpretaciju zadane teme na neutralnoj lokaciji u zajednici sa lokalnim i stranim umjetnicima. One-sided Story – The Residency, predvođen američkom umjetnicom Candace Goodrich, je vrlo uspješan kolaborativni projekt sa sjedištem u njemačkom Leipzigu, koji je trajao od svibnja 2012. do svibnja 2013. Program je u periodu od godinu dana obuhvatio 38 umjetnika iz Danske, Finske, Francuske, Njemačke, Poljske, Hrvatske, Izraela, Velike Britanije, Kanade i Amerike. Hrvatsko društvo likovnih umjetnika i Alumni Association Umjetničke Akademije u New Yorku su bile glavne partnerske organizacije. Umjetnici su živjeli i radili u Leipzigu, dijelili su atelier veličine 243 m² u Halle 14, www.halle14.org u Spinnerei-u, www.spinnerei.de, te su izlagali za vrijeme Spinnerei Rundganga u Leipzigu kao i u drugim europskim gradovima uključujući Stuttgart, Dresden, Strasbourg, Paris i New York. Leipzig je danas mjesto u kojem se na visokoj razini prepliću teorija i praksa suvremene likovne umjetnosti, umjetnici, galeristi, kustosi, kritičari, kolekcionari i brojni zainteresirani utječu na stvaranje novih tokova umjetnosti. Sudjelovanje hrvatskih umjetnika na međunarodnom projektu u Leipzigu ima veliku važnost za promociju hrvatske likovne scene, ali i njezine kulturne svijesti uopće. Da bi prigodno obilježili Dan ujedinjenja Njemačke, 3. listopada, i proslavili ulazak Hrvatske u EU, One-sided Story i HDLU su pozvali posebne goste umjetnike iz Leipziga da bi dodatno upotpunili izložbu u Galeriji Prsten. Svi će umjetnici iz Leipziga biti predstavljeni na otvorenju.
Izložbu su omogućili Ministarstvo kulture Republike Hrvatske, Goethe Institut Zagreb, FDDK e.V. and Ford Motor Vehicles.

The group exhibition Wasser Schöpfen / ZAGRABITI is the culmination of The Residency chapter of One-sided Story, www.onesidedstory.com. The idea of the organizer was that each of the artists, participating the project, think about the topic of One-Sided Story and to represent this topic through the visual tradition of his/her own country, on a neutral location, in the community with local and international artists. One-sided Story – The Residency, directed by American artist Candace Goodrich, was a highly successful collaborative project based in Leipzig, Germany from May 2012 to May 2013, involving 38 artists within a year’s time, coming from Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Poland, Croatia, Israel, the UK, Canada, and the United States. The Croatian Association of Artists and the Alumni Association of the New York Academy of Art were the primary partner organizations. Residents shared a 243 square meter atelier space in Halle 14, www.halle14.org in the Spinnerei www.spinnerei.de, living and working in Leipzig, exhibiting during the Spinnerei Rundgang, as well as in other European cities including Stuttgart, Dresden, Strasbourg, Paris, and New York City. Today Leipzig is known as a place where the theory and practice of the contemporary visual art, artists, curators, gallerists, critics, collectors and many interested  interlace on a high level and influence on creation of new art directions. Participation of the Croatian artists in the international project in Leipzig is very important act of promotion of Croatian art scene but also its cultural consciousness in general.  For the occasion of German Reunification Day, October 3rd, and to celebrate Croatia’s entrance into the EU, One-sided Story and the HDLU have also invited special guest artists from Leipzig to exhibit in the HDLU Ring Gallery. All Leipzig artists will be present at the opening.
